VB I stopped the dialer, why did it start back up? Where did my money go? Logged off the dialer, why is it still spending my money? Print

There are several reasons this could happen. It is your responsibility to Stop/Pause the dialer manually by logging in and Stopping/Pausing the dialer. DO NOT rely on the time zone restriction or running out of money/minutes to stop the dialer. (That will only pause the dialer until the time zone is back to current or you purchase more dialer minutes. At which point the dialer will start back up from where it left off.)

  • 1. If the time zone was set at 8am - 4pm. The dialer will pause calling numbers at 4pm based on the phone numbers area code. So when the dialer pauses automatically it doesn't stop, it actually pauses until 8am the following morning and it starts back up dialing.
  • 2. If the dialer stopped dialing, it's because you ran out of funds. Once you add more funds, it will resume dialing as soon as funds are loaded.

The only way to stop the dialer from automatically resuming is to push the Stop/Pause button manually. (DO NOT RELY on login off the dialer or even shutting off your computer.)

To check this click on the export button (looks like a 3 and 1/2 inch floppy disk), check the call detailed records list then click export. You will receive a file via email, then open the link in excel to review the times the calls were made. (NOTE: on some of the older accounts the spread sheet may not be created with your particular time zone, it may still be in GMT. You will have to adjust the times by the difference between your time and GMT. If they are not correct please call our office to have your time zone changed, this will not effect the lists from the previous campaigns but will for the future spreadsheets.)
